Privacy policy
This policy explains how Canopy Crossings Editorial ("we") handles personal information on nemesis-little-cinnamonbox.shop. We aim to follow the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
The short version
- No analytics, advertising or tracking are active on this site.
- The only thing stored in your browser is your cookie choice.
- We only receive personal information if you send it to us through the contact form or the newsletter form.
What we collect and why
Contact form. When you use the form, your name, email address, subject and message are sent to us by email through Resend, an email delivery service. We use these details only to read and answer your message.
Newsletter. When you subscribe, your email address is used to send you one confirmation email through Resend. This is called double opt-in. Your address is only passed to us if you open the link in that email. If you do not confirm, you will not receive anything further. We use a confirmed address only to send new articles. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing [email protected].
Browser storage. Your choice in the consent banner is saved in your browser's local storage under the name "consent". It stays there until you clear it, and it is not sent to us. See the cookie page for details.
Hosting. This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like most web hosts, Cloudflare handles technical data such as IP addresses in order to deliver pages and protect the service. We do not use that data to identify you.
Fonts and outside services
Fonts are stored on this site and load from our own domain. We do not embed outside maps, videos, social media widgets or advertising. Links to sources take you to other sites, which have their own privacy policies.
Disclosure and overseas handling
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for marketing. Resend and Cloudflare are service providers that may process information outside Australia, including in the United States, in order to deliver email and web pages. We otherwise disclose personal information only if the law requires it.
How long we keep information
We keep messages only as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and keep a reasonable record. We keep newsletter addresses until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also make a privacy complaint.
Privacy contact: Canopy Crossings Editorial, [email protected]
We will reply within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change. If we ever add analytics or other optional services, we will say so here and ask for your agreement first.
